Discovered today that if you offer a draw and promote a pawn on the
same move then the draw offer is ignored. The game continues on
as normal with the link "opponent's move" rather than "opponent's
choice" as it should in the case of a draw offer.

Choosing which piece to promote to counts as a move. Therefore sending a message when you move the pawn to the promotion square won't send it to your opponent (at least it didn't used to). So if you offer the draw when you promote the piece (can you? I can't remember) then it should go to your opponent.

I don't remember there being an option to offer a draw on the
promotion screen. All I remember seeing was a choice as to which
piece to promote to. I could be wrong though as I wasn't paying that
much attention at the time since I had already offered a draw on the
previous screen. I did a send message to my opponent when I moved
the pawn to the promotion square and it went through, but the draw
    offer didn't.
