Switching a bit between keyboard layouts, I think he may mean the "less than" symbol - that's the shift-comma symbol on the Japanese (I don't have an English or American keyboard on my list, so I didn't try that) keyboard, and I know it cuts off the rest of the post if you don't insert a space after it. If you do, < it works without problems.

Although not what everyone wanted (clan leader deputies requires a lot of re-engineering work, unless I kludge it, which I am not prepared to do) BUT tomorrow I will release the mechanism for swapping clan leaders.

    The process is this:

    - A leader nominates a new leader. (The nominee must be clan member and not a leader of an existing clan)

    - The nominee gets a PM with a link in it. If they click it, the leadership is transferred right away.

    - The current clan leader can nominate someone else (or withdraw the transfer of leadership altogether) at anytime before the step above takes place, and the appropriate PMs are sent to all parties to avoid too much confusion.

Long overdue, I know, but better late then never and all that. (And nothing to do with me being fed up with making the switches manually on request...😉)

    Russ,
After the clan has a new leader, can the old leader leave the clan?
Can the new leader hand back leadership to the old leader or a new one?

Once a leader steps down, he can leave the clan.

He can re-join, and the leadership can be passed back, if required.

    I wonder...

maybe there's a job opportunity on the market for a "Clan Position Improver"...

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team, take over as leader, jump the clan up a few pages, payment dependent upon results... Please apply with cv and covering letter, detailing proven track record...
