I've noticed, but can't figure out a single reason why they exist in the first place. Maybe someone could reveal to me the actual point behind all this activity.

It does not happen a lot, but I totally agree with you here no1!

Especially when you see some people joining multiple clubs at the same time.. what's the purpose..

Just another rating?

Just another private forum?

No point joining multiple clubs unless you want lots of game challenges.

A nice feature for non subscribers and people with common interests.

I am waiting to see what this league table will look like. If you play against the same group of players, and you are fairly evenly matched it should be a very good feature and not one that exists in clans.

I like it.

The option to leave a club has been delayed.

I was hoping to make it available before I took a short break, but this has not happened, so it is at least another week away, sorry.

Perhaps I can help you to understand, then again maybe not, but I will give a shot anyways!

1. In the clubs if you figure someone is sandbagging you don't have to play them, ( Some of the leaders I talked to don't like sandbaggers) where in a clan, you might wind up in a situation where you have no choice.

2. A Rating is only a calculation of how you have done against players you have played against. I think it is good to have the option of playing in different clubs and playing different people in them, to see how you rate against them. I know you are going to get some of the same people in the clubs, but there will also be a majority of other players who are not in the other clubs.

3. If the Club Leader gets enough complaints about a certain player, which may be from being an a** to perhaps playing by means they shouldn't be, the said person can be ousted from the Club, without having to wait, what could be a considerable one for the Game Mods to decide on that individual. ( I will never forget the 29 lost games to erice1, nor will others, who would have won those "15" tournaments)
In the clubs I am not going to say it can't happen, but in most of the ones I am in, I pretty confident in the majority of players in all of them.

Just a few of my reasons why I think the clubs are good.

1. If there's someone I don't want to play, I tell my clan leader that I don't want to play them. The clan leaders I have had have always respected my wishes. If your clan leaders didn't, you joined the wrong clans;

2. If there's people I want to play badly to see how I'd do against them, I challenge them (after PMing them first). I fail to see the advantage of having a bunch of different ratings; any rating is only an approximate indicator of performance anyway.

3. Clan leaders have the same power. The good ones exercise it under such circumstances. As to those who don't, see (1) above.

Obviously you were not looking for a reason, you were looking for an arguement as usual, without having your facts correct.

* I never EVER belonged to a clan *
* Playing a different group, gives you an idea of how you stand against that group, ( don't you get it ) ?
* Had I been in a clan I would have known that Clan Leaders had the same power, But you still could end up having to play a sandbagger, in a play off like it or not....In the Clubs, I don't think this will become a problem.

This will be my last bit to YOU on the Clubs.

I gave a reasoned response to all your points and (unlike you), didn't get nasty about it. Don't respond to me; that's a positive for both of us - I can discuss the matter with people who don't act like petulant children and who might have some knowledge of the clan system and you can talk to people who only agree with you.

Ad 1) ????? Outside a club you don't have to play them either.. clan leaders can easily leave them out of challenges.. (and if you've never been in a clan, you can use the 'open invite' option or challenge your friends (what you basically will do in a club too, so that's no new thing actually)

Ad 2) That's the only added thing I see: an extra rating calculation

Ad 3) Like No1M. said, this is also possible in Clan.. and outside Clans, if somebody is being a true a**, he/she will either be banned from the forums or banned from the site.. still you can have engine users in your Club, still you will lose from them 29 times in a row, still you need Game Mods to have them identified..

So I agree partially with you: Clubs bring you an extra rating number..

If there is a new feature called CLUBS, why would someone disagree if it doesn't affect you, if you(someone) don't like it you can act as if it was not there, and those who like it just use it.

I like clubs and it would be great if someone could sponsor tournaments in clubs in a separated way so that non subs can play in them, and i think it would be another income to the site.

I asked what the point of them was. I still haven't received a satisfactory answer.

Since this new feature seems to require significant amounts of the Site Admin's limited time, I'd say it "affects" us all. Besides, the SA asked for feedback on this feature; that isn't limited to positive comments.

I understand and agree that it is not limited to positive feedback.

I would say that clubs can be a different group of players with wich you interact in the RHP community, since it has its own rating system it differs from clans, and also it is not competitive club vs club, like clans are.

Its like the feeling of your own community inside RHP, and then there is the hole RHP with clans and all.

I am not sure if clans do tournaments games among the clan members, but it would be fun to have a club tournament with the tournament entry rating for your club, which may be higher or lower than your RHP hole rating. its like having a local and national rating.

It can also as I said before be a new source of income to the site if Club tournaments can be sponsored by one or more players to admit the club members that are not sub to play in it. and with more income then we can have more admin.
