This was brought up in another thread, but it was sort of ignored, so I felt it should be brought up again. I'm not suggesting it because I don't want to pay $40 a year; I'm bringing it up because I genuinely feel it could make the site administrators more more money than the current system; simply because some people can't afford, or most likely just don't want to spend the extra cash. So I'm suggesting 4 different levels:
Level 4: $15 - The only benefit is extra games, say 20 at a time. Maybe still keep the adds?
Level 3: $25 - Players are allowed to join 1 clan, 1 ladder, play 50 concurrent games, and play in one tournament a month.
Level 2: $40 - Exactly the same system that is currently in place.
Level 1: $60 - Current system plus a few other benefits, such a rated blitz, an auto skulling option, 0 day timebank, rated Fischer chess, etc.
Obviously the prices and benefits can be tweaked however they see fit, but doesn't it seem likely that such options would create more profit? I'd be willing to bet that at least 60% of our current subscribers would upgrade to level one without much though. Russ?
Edit- A one month trial subscription for $10 or so would be good too; you would just have to set certain restrictions.
Originally posted by clandarkfireI was thinking about this too, not four levels but just two like your 3rd and 2nd. I was actually thinking more subs would take a step back to level 3. I would also consider it myself.

60% seems a bit optimistic...maybe if there was this rated blitz thing...
