    I think it would be interesting to have a forum for annotated games, players could get help with their postgame analysis and strong players could show their analysis

    A system for annotating games will be available in the next couple of months anyway, so this will probably not be required.

    will it work on just CC games?

    Just the CC games. (at least initially, anyway.)

    I don't know if you saw the thread i created a few months back, but i think a pretty simple solution would be to create tags to add into standard pgn. Something like ...

    [Event "Clan challenge"]
    [Site "http://www.timeforchess.com"]
    [Date "2008.12.10"]
    [Round "?"]
    [White "Bobby Chess"]
    [Black "Marinkatomb"]
    [WhiteRating "1921"]
    [BlackRating "1860"]
    [WhiteELO "1921"]
    [BlackELO "1860"]
    [Result "*"]
    [GameId "5748124"]

    1. e4 d6 2. Bf1c4 Ng8f6 3. Nb1c3 Nb8d7 {Marinkatomb: Users add quotes to the game, when the board is rendered in the forum this would appear at the bottom of the board. By putting their name at the beginning, any variations they add could be played out interdependently of other users comments} {Russ: Other users could simply add another set of brackets after the original one to comment on the previous comment, over time each move could be discussed as the viewer reaches it...}

    4. Ng1f3 h6 5. d3 e5 6. Bc4b3 Bf8e7 7. h3 c6 8. Bc1e3 Qd8c7 9. Qd1d2 Nd7f8 10. O-O-O Bc8e6 11. Bb3xe6 Nf8xe6 12. d4 c5 13. dxc5 dxc5 14. Nc3d5 Nf6xd5 15. Qd2xd5 Be7f6 16. Qd5d6 Qc7xd6 17. Rd1xd6 Ke8e7 18. Rd6d5 *

    This way people could simply copy and paste from previous posters, adding or subtracting thoughts or variations. If someone adds a variation, then perhaps a drop down menu could be used so people can play through the variation using the same board. Obviously if two people add a variation starting from the same move, then there are simply two variations listed from the drop down menu...
