generally we can't post links in the forums.
this is good - otherwise we'd be bombarded with links to all sorts of rubbish.

but we can post links to game IDs, see: Game 1075389

i would like to be able to do the same but with clan challenges.

it would save me doing this:

http://www.redhotpawn.com/clanchallenge/viewchallenge.php?challengeid=39725

this would be especially useful with the new clan forums on the way...
pretty please!

Good idea, although I don't really see why it would be a bad idea to generally allow links. You can post URLs now, too, they are just not clickable. Making them clickable would be convenient for those who want to follow the link, while I can't see any negative consequences for those who don't (unless you have OCD and have no control over your clicking behaviour 😉 ).

Here's the solution for you: http://www.snapbubbles.com/
Just go there whenever you feel an urgent click-need. 🙄

i seem to remember there is a legal reason why they can't have any old external hyperlink popping up in the forums.

It works for me, although it takes a long time to load. But your link is better anyway. Actually that's the one I was looking for, but I found the other one first and was too lazy to go on searching. I keep some real bubble wrap at my office for non-practical reasons. 🙂

Hmm, but most other forums I know allow them. In Germany you have to state somewhere on your page that you are not responsible for the content of external links, but as long as you do that, it shouldn't be a problem to have them. Maybe the laws are different in England, though.

For RHP addons...

The servers are hosted in america, so I think its american law that Russ has to abide by.

Russy-Russy-Roo, where are you?
We got some work to do now,
Russy-Russy-Roo, where are you?
We need some help from you now.

Come on, Russy-Roo, I see you
Pretending you've got a sliver,
But you're not foolin' me,
'Cuz I can see
The way you shake and shiver!

You know we got a mystery to solve
So Russy-Roo, be ready for your act!
(Russ: Uh uh!)
Don't hold back!
And Russy-Roo, if you come through
You're gonna have yourself a Russ-Snack!
That's a fact!

Russy-Russy-Roo, here are you,
You're ready and you're willing!
If we can count on you, Russy-Roo
I know you'll catch that villian! (the lack of ability to post clan challenge hyperlinks)

erm, yes.
i think i meant to say, 'bump'...

Not only that, would it possible for the servers at RHP to distinguish between these clan links and other hyperlinks. Afterall they are all HTTP links, and therefore use the same protocol. Might be bit of a technical quandry.
