Has there been discussion here before about creating a Search box on the Forums page to search the RHP Forums?

If not, I'd like to suggest it.

If it's already been shot down as something that is NOT going to happen, then never mind. 😞

Edit: Ok, ok... obviously the big box labeled "Search Forums" escaped my notice. Now move along, nothing to see here.

Yeah you're right, it has been mentioned a few times in the past here.

That Search Forum thing is not much use, well it's better than nothing I guess - just.
A real one would be nice but I don't see the likelihood anywhere on the horizon. 🙁

This is the best tool for searching RHP forums.

The results are not always instant, but well worth a shot.

Here is something you may or may not have known...

This addon is also brilliant for searching these forums.
Type a couple of keywords into the Hyperwords SearchBar, then click to search, sites, this site, and it automagically fills out the google advanced search for you to only return results from www.timeforchess (The built-in search facility always returns redhotpawn results. Hyperwords returns results from your particular brand).

You can also go to the second page of the search results which doesn't work in the built in function.

This is definitely the most useful addon I've ever installed.

Edit! 1 thing I have noticed is that you get better search results using redhotpawn over the derivatives, especially for older posts.

Yeah, that's what I had to do - horrible colours on that site eh? Urghhh!!! 😉
