Needs attention please. Some players continue to play while displaying the sign (to avoid playing some losing games?)

Is there a way to prevent moves from being made when the sign is displayed (for a specfied period agreed before posting the sign, eg 3 days)

There is nothing wrong with playing while the vacation sign is displayed. The player may well be on vacation, and only able to move occasionally.

But don't let it worry you. You can choose to ignore the vacation sign if you wish.

There are no inherent benefits of having the vacation sign on or off, other than a means to announce the duration of your vacation and whether you will be able to move. See it as a curtesy to other players rather than a plea for timeout clemency.

So if you feel players are abusing the sign, there is no barrier to you timing them out. The vacation sign is for noting purposes only, you are not obliged to recognize it in any manner, shape or form.

More pressing is dealing with people who insist on cross posting the same post in multiple forums.
