    That's two words. 😉

    I am perfectly happy with the choices we have. I was perfectly happy with the choices we had before, too (even though I am using one of the new ones now). After all, this is a chess site, not an art site. I need the pieces to be clear and easy to recognize, and I need colours which don't hurt my eyes. If the pieces look nice, that's a bonus. Anything more is unnecessary, and I'd rather have Russ work on more important things.

    I agree with Nordlys.

    I think if you are after a good looking graphical game then chess isn't it and no amount of extra board designs are going to do it. The current ones are fine really.

    Why not create the sets you want yourself, and suggest them through the send feedback link? You are encouraged to do so in the board settings page, you know?

    Use the RHP faces photos for pieces, maybe. Does anyone resembles a horse up here? Who can be the knight and the queen?

    Lol, that's a funny idea! Moldy Crow could be the rook. Tirau Dan or phil nutley would make good knights. I'd also love to include Delmer's raccoon, although I don't know what piece that would be.

    I'd like a "mass murderers" set, with Manson, Dahmer, etc.

    Also farmyard animals.

    The bull the King and the cow the Queen.
    The goose and the ducks on their right will be bishops and knights,
    The rooks, similar to the pigs in the den looks,
    And the goat on the lawn, cloned into eight makes the pawns.

    ...I'm guessing that you have killed all of these animals at least once.

    I had to. Or else I couldn't turn them into chess pieces. 😛

    In German and Norwegian (and maybe in Swedish, too?) the pawns are called farmers, so we could have farmers as pawns.

    I didn't think about that one. Also, we call knights horses, so it really doesn't make any sense in using ducks. What was I thinking!? 🙄

    {Also, I like the idea of the bull and the cow sending the farmers into battle.}
