In my opinion, these are 2 features that would greatly benefit the site.
Finding out which new posts have been made since last login & also seeing who is online & possible also what they are viewing.
I know vBulletin sites can use these features, so why not here on RHP?

We have a green dot to see if a move has been made so
how about a red dot to see who is online.
Of course the colour blind guys will see a green dot to see who
is online and a red dot to see who has moved.
The new posts hitting the top of the forum is OK for me.

The dot won't show if you're posting / browsing the forums and not moving.
You can stop it from showing altogether if you un-tick the Online now checkbox in My Settings -> My Profile Settings.
"Indicate to other users that you are online and moving. You may let other users know that you are online by selecting this option This icon will appear next to your name on some pages"
If that's the case the above information needs fixing.
I've always had it turned off and would continue to do so as long as it was a choice. 🙁
