Originally posted by AikoEvery so often I go through the invites and accept all those that I can that have ludicrous limits. 1200 players with >2000 limits and 1/0 time controls or set piece games with ratings limits that are lost for the invitee. Then I delete them. Remember people there are currently 83 players above 2000 on this site, playing someone rated hundreds of points below us is a big time investment and some risk for the gain of perhaps 1 point. I play in tournaments and run teaching games, I get my fill of 1200 players.
Now shagslayer is being busy being a bit annoying in his open invites:

If some sort of control is put in then I wouldn't have to do this. A 7 day auto delete wouldn't take care of shagslayer's stupidity. Only displaying invites that you can accept would mitigate it somewhat. However if someone wanted to they could put up set piece invites advertising their clan instead. If the set piece is clearly won for the inviter no one would accept them and they would remain there.
Perhaps setpiece invites need stricter controls in addition to only displaying games that you can accept.
