Playing in tournaments

New to this website. Signed up for a tournament. Noticed that the top rated player is over 2200. Wiinner of group moves on to finals.
Allthough I'm holding my own don't believe there's a chance in hell that I'm going to be numero uno.
Dont they have tournaments with ratings range, say 1100-1500 where the average player has a chance to win?

Plenty. Just you can't enter them when provisionally rated.
