I don't think that the conditional moves should allow players to automatically play according to book moves. Why even play the first 10-30 moves anymore?
They save time for people with lots of games going. If someone knows which 2-4 move opening sequence they'd like to play, why make them go through it 500 times?

If you don't want them following the book lines, just play a move that isn't in the books.
