A number of posters use disguised swearing in their posts; normally directed at someone they disagree with.
Personally I think that it is pretty sad and pathetic if people cannot have a healthy debate without swearing at or abusing their fellow debater.
Can we have a "report post" box so that said member's posts can be reviewed and deleted and that they get the three counts and you are out treatment.
Healthy debating is great; pathetic swearing because you cannot put up a constructive argument is not.
Yes; I have raised unacceptable language in the forums before as it is something I feel is totally unnecessary; chess is a respectable game; surely posters can respect each other.

I must agree wholeheartedly. I tend to avoid posting altogether, simply because there are so many here who do not respect the heading of the forums, "Keep it friendly. Be courteous and respectful. Appreciate that others may have an opinion different from yours."
There are also a great many here who swear or, as you say, use language that implies swearing. I previously asked that such players be banned, but the administration doesn't want to do that. To me, this leaves the forums virtually unusable.
@mwmiller
Yes, I have. However, as I've mentioned, the powers-that-be on RHP don't want to ban players from the forums, so I feel that rudeness and swearing is somewhat encouraged, thus discouraging me from doing much posting. The thing is that when I ban a player, that player's posts still show up on the forums, which is why I feel discouraged from posting. I just don't want to see that player's posts and there's nothing I can do about that other than generally avoiding the forums.

I agree that the use of foul language, plain or disguised, is in poor taste.
The OP was wanting to have a "report post" box.
I believe the "alert" link I mentioned already fulfills his request.
Sending a feedback would also allow communication with admin.
@mwmiller saidCan non-subs alert posts now?
There is a link in the top right corner of every post that allows you to ALERT the post.
It's the exclamation mark. Have you tried using that? I believe it will be seen by the moderator team, if you use it.
Anyway it doesn't really work. People end up creating new accounts to post if they're banned.
@The-only-Mr-T saidI thought every member could use the alert feature.

I was not aware that non-subs were not allowed to alert a post.
@mwmiller saidUsed to be a sub only feature, pretty sure it still was when I subscribed again last summer but might be wrong.

@mwmiller saidOne problem is that people are now only allowed to alert three posts per day.

Another problem is that (apparently) some of the old-timers/early-adopters can post anything without reprisals.
Edit: I think the number of alerts per day was reduced to three so that some members could not "gamify" the feature to muzzle other members. Plus it also reduced the number of reports the volunteer moderators had to check.
@mwmiller saidThank you; I had no idea that feature was there.
