Russ, is it possible for our ignore lists to act as a filter regarding notifications?
Most, and I do mean most, of my notifications are from people on my ignore list answering my posts. I've ignored these people for a reason. I don't want to hear from them. I do not mind their answers to my posts staying in the relevant forum, but do I really have to be told they answered a post of mine when I did not write it to them? I'm not interested in talking to them, and these notifications almost beg me to interact with them in the public forum. Harassment is a real thing.
This would be a huge QoL feature for me (and probably many others).
@Suzianne saidI fully support this suggestion.

Totally agree.
There is a great feature on HotCopper (the stock ramping website); if you have someone on 'ignore' ie the same as 'blocked' on RHP, if someone does respond to your post, you get no notification AND you don't even see their post in the thread.
I realise this may be a step too far but I like Suzianne's suggestion as there is one person in particular I would like to block / ignore and not see their posts as 99% of the time they are garbage irrespective as to whom he / it / she is responding.
@Martin saidIt does seem rather ineffective and disappointing when someone who could have offered support instead chooses to play the inane-four-year-old.

That helps no one, and yet I'd prefer their posts remain to show the world who they are. That is, until they get petulant and decide to be as egregiously offensive as possible. Even mature people have limits. Since notifications about who answered my posts are functionally "in my face" as it were, I'd really rather not see if/when someone whose only purpose in life is to irritate me (which is why they are blocked in the first place) answers my posts which weren't even written to them.
Especially when I usually get at least a half-dozen or more notifications daily regarding them, so many that they drown out notifications far more useful to me.
