I think it should within reason be allowed. Not several per person, but the odd one.
It's fun!
It's ok to do for the right reasons, but kicking up an old thread to confuse or 're-hash' an old issue is frowned on. Usually the thread is just closed when kicked up for little reason than to cause confusion of 'drama'.
Yes, it's funny some times... but something RHP can't have happening every day. Expect the thread to close or vanish in most instances... if alerted.

I posted in an old thread the other day, without realising it was old - I followed a thread link from another (active) thread.
My posts were deleted and the thread disappeared - no big problem, as my post was in error anyway, but it was quite a funny thread and now I've lost it.
Let me see if I can find it....
edit - think it's thread ID 77594 but can't find the link thing
edit2 - i can find it using the onsite google search for "very little friends", but can't find the actual thread - has someone killed the whole thing?? crazy foo!

Yes, the thread is dumped. Too bad it was only alerted by a user because THEY were warned not to do this. I don't much care for alerts based only on "you did this to me, why not now?"

It was alerted by a sissy.

Dumped??
This is terrible, it's all my fault. I killed the thread.
I should have known about the policies of the mods but I was ignorant and stupied.
Can you bring it back?
It wasn't the thread's fault,
