Yes. This has a lot of merit, especially where because of poor phrasing, bad syntax or 'quoting, some other meaning can be interpreted differently to that of the intention of the poster. More so when perhaps the original poster realises this and the ability to edit falls outside the window.

The Mod on receipt of a reasoned reply could determine this and reach a consensus with the poster to have the post amended to reflect the true intent. Win win for all and no need to involve the 'wolf pack'.

Bad choice of words I know but I'm not going to change it because everyone knows what I mean.

Why is this post not being rec'd to the top, already? These are all great for this site. Both for the convenience of moderators and for the members of this site. And yes I do believe it would correct a lot of misunderstandings.

Maybe we need to talk about it in general and then link to this thread. It should be implemented.

I am giving an opinion, which you call arguing. What do you call what the people (mods) are doing? Friendly banter?

This thread is about suggestions to make things better for both Mods and users. I don't see how that is a bad thing, no matter who came up with the idea first.

If Russ/Chris decide to implement, the suggestions I made, which others have made before me as you have pointed out. Those people can take full credit for it, as far as I am concerned.

I would appreciate more people getting involved in this discussion in a positive way, and what the thread is about, and set their personal baggage aside for a bit.

This actually is a good idea for both Moderator and user, and Kudo's to those who came up with the idea first!

You are correct, it was petty of me to disagree with a good idea you had. I believe sometimes our banter does get out of hand. Myself just as guilty as you. Neither of us are angels on this site 'no one'!

You are the one comes in to my Site Idea thread crying about how you already have given that idea, I think that is more what this is all about, and I told you if the idea is implemented, you can have all the credit. ( IT would be good for Moderators and Users )

Your posts are there for all to see also, and as you told me, it is impossible to argue by yourself, it always takes two. One person can never be in an argument. But perhaps in your mind it is an argument, to me it is banter back and forth. I think you take things much more seriously than I do, in many of our conversations.
