You can do that now already: I have had 4025 visitors since 7 December 2005.
I am quite popular among the Dutchies, the Brittisch and the US-people, making up 70% of visitors on my profile.

Yes, that's what I mean. Wherever he hosts the image, he has some back-end user access statistics that give him the data. I've used similar things with webpages in the past, but hadn't thought to apply it here. Interesting.
