What about a little clock icon next to your n* games waiting link when you log in, so you instantly know if you need to make some moves, click the icon and go straight to the game in question.

Things like this would always be nice, but it always a balance between performance and features, and finding out if you have any games that are about to timeout on every request on the site is not going to happen for this reason. Sorry.
