Why have a debate forum, for non-chess related issues??? aren't we here to play chess
its usefull to discuss chess ideas.. improve this site.. etc.. but to have debates.. i think there are better sites than this one, why not to delete that forum and get some usefull space on the server??
i mean, there are debates and discusson foruns over the web.. i dont see the point of having one here

so alot of us ask for a seprate fourm for debates
wouldnt take any more space on the server than people posting the debates in other foums, its better the way it is

this site who value the debates forum, who consider
it a major draw.
Here's the beautiful thing: If you like them, you can
go there, read and participate. If you don't like them
you can take a peak every once in a while to make
sure you don't or, if you really hate them, just don't
go there.
If you delete the debates forum, you stand to lose
people who pay for their stars. However, no one is
going to join a site because there isn't a debate forum,
because it's as simple as apple pie to avoid it.

we rarely let him out, sometimes he escapes, but we always track him down and put him back.
we just call it a debates forum to keep him happy.

Im not trying to convince anyone to my own ideas, which, btw, aren't my *own* ideas (as posted before by another ppl).
It was clearly put in the forums that the mere name calling doesn't appeal anyone. So, if you like to read swearing and more swearing and name calling, its up to you. Im tired. And POINT.

It is supposed RHP being a site to play CHESS.
As I love chess and all the commiment put by Russ and Chris in this site, I'm trying (by replying to you) to make from this site a *really* comunity. Not a bunch of mad/whinners/insatisfied people struggling one against the other, for the only pleasure of doing so.
Hope you can understand my position. It's just what the thread tittle says...
If you can't, may be I have to learn more english to make it clear.
But if you have catched the idea, please think of it before you answer.
