Consider dj2becker. Why would God make such an ignorant and simple-minded person?

Error, maybe?
After the tzimtzum, when the or ein sof was blasted into the vessels of creation, they were unable to withstand the impact and shattered, which event is called the shevirah. Since the shevirah, the sparks (otiot) of holiness from the or ein sof that did not return to Ein Sof him/her/itself, became trapped in material husks called kellipot. It is our task to release these sparks so that they might return to their source...
—so it really all stems from an error after all, an error at the very point where Ein Sof decided to emanate from within him/her/itself a world.
That should make it all crystal clear...

God has made all kinds of people. If He only loved the very intelligent He would not be a great God.
If you have ever been a parent of many children would you not love them all? I have a friend who was a graduate from Yale and very smart. Fortune had it that one of his children was mentally retarded. You should ask him if he loved that child less than his other children.
Besides, you should not assume that brilliant intelligence of mind is the only way to fellowship with God. There is something in man deeper than that which can contact God and fellowship with God as a loving Father.
