@ghost-of-a-duke saidDo you mean to "diagnose" somebody "clinically" like a psychiatrist might? Why would anyone ask you to do that?
I would not try to diagnose somebody as deluded but certainly recognise when somebody is not.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidThis is not true. I have been using delusional in its everyday sense so when I describe the story about the CPR on the pavements as delusional, I do not mean "wrong or misconstrued", I mean a ludicrous self-aggrandizing tall tale [which she has only thought better of now, years later, and so has decided to dial it back]. Quite different from simply "wrong or misconstrued".
Perhaps you missed it. For FMF delusional is just an everyday word, no different than wrong or misconstrued.
An alternative might be that she just fabricated it quite deliberately but, given the angry, scornful blithering and the self-obsessed paranoid nature of so much of her posting, I think she was being deluded rather than telling a cold-blooded, calculated lie. As I say, it was behaviour that was quite different from simply being "wrong or misconstrued".
@ghost-of-a-duke saidNonsense. It is "significant" if one considers my spare use of it. I have only used it in connection with a small handful of posters here over the last 15+ years. It's not a word I would use lightly.
FMF has already rowed back on the whole delusion thing, not meaning it in any significant sense. It was just a throw away word with no depth to it.

It's not difficult to know at all. He doesn't buy my angel story because he doesn't believe in God. You probably could have figured that on your own if you didn't have all your concern wrapped up in making my accounts look ridiculous. People should remember this. I've never lied about myself in these forums. My accounts are what happened. Your accounts, on the other ha ...[text shortened]... he game, all I want from you, indeed, all I've ever wanted from you, is to just stop lying about me.
Is that so?

Oh I am delusional, I’m a theist.
I consider this a lot. Nevertheless I have a faith anyway.
In light of this declaration that your theistic beliefs render you delusional, I don't find it surprising that people have questioned how authentic your expressed Christian beliefs are. - You are effectively saying your belief in God is based on a delusion.
@fmf saidLook again.

My post, that you are replying to here, is TO @divegeester ABOUT @ghost-of-a-duke.
What I said was, "It's not difficult to know at all. He doesn't buy my angel story because he doesn't believe in God." He, speaking to @divegeester about @ghost-of-a-duke. Right after @divegeester said to @ghost-of-a-duke:

As I said, “most” of her stories you claim to believe. It’s difficult to know which you really don’t believe when you are too busy white-knighting 🙂
Stop misrepresenting me.
