Several Christians here over the years have described themselves as being "filled" with "the Holy Spirit".
What evidence is there ~ in terms of their/your demeanour and behaviour in this community ~ that these claims are true or have any practical meaning?
This question is open to those who make such claims [or similar ones] about themselves AND to those who have interacted with those who make such claims.

@fmf saidI have met people in the real world who have become Christian and do indeed seem to have been transformed on a deep level. - Have a cousin in NZ who is a good example of this. Growing up my mum, who is one of the kindest souls on the planet, described him as one of the evilest people she had ever encountered. (A statement quite surprising when she made it). She told tales of him repeatedly hitting his brother in the head with a toy truck and the like and smiling while doing so. (And he wasn't an infant at the time). He is now a minister in NZ and genuinely one of the nicest people you could ever meet. (A transformation of character than definitely began when he found God).

I have of course also encountered Christians who are morally bereft.
