Best wishes on Buddha Day

Spirituality

Best wishes to any Buddhists who might read this.

[Today is] Wesak or Vesak, also known as Buddha Purnima and Buddha Day, [and it] is a holiday observed traditionally by Buddhists on different days in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and the South East Asian countries of Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar, and other places all over the world. Sometimes informally called "Buddha's Birthday", it actually commemorates the birth, enlightenment (nirvāna), and death (Parinirvāna) of Gautama Buddha in the Theravada or southern tradition. Jesus died too, but He rose from the dead. I'll follow Jesus.

A living hope. Superior in every way.

Josephw................do you not know that everyone rises from (so called death) because we are all spiritual beings.

The understanding that Christianity can bestow eternal life is false.......................because we are all already eternal.

If we are all eternal, where do NEW souls come from. The population of Earth is no close to 8 BILLION. A couple of centuries ago, it was more like 1 billion. So where did those 7 billion NEW souls come from?
