Most people will reject God anyhow, so rejecting evil ones , s simply a way of preventing the spread of evil within God's people.

Of course Satan is at work creating Satanic groups claiming to be Christians. When they misapply biblical principles Satan can show people that God is wrong based on outcomes within the Satanic group.
