The 13 th Chapter of 1st Corth you can read about love. When shunning was done it was to get someone to repent least they stay wrapped up in sin.
I know the reason. Most people would call uncondituonal live accepting people no matter what.

But Christian love is nit the same thing as worldly love. Christian love could take rhe form of shunning.
Shunning does more harm than good from my experience.

No that is not love, watching someone's life be destroyed and accepting it. Accept people yes, sin no.

Unless you shun them for 'sin' that isn't sin, in my case I was shunned for not following the rules of the church, which aren't even in the Bible. According to them I was sinning by speaking to the girl before we were married.

Then that church is not of God.

So do you think parents should shun their children for any reason?

I don't think it does.

I don't think it does between God and people either, as people define unconditional love.
Do you have kids? Do you love them any less when they are naughty?

Of course, but for Biblical.

Was that psychological abuse?

Give me a list of sins you would shun your child for.

Adult child? How about shacking up? Homosexuality? Dabbling in prostitution. Being a thief?

There are very many things that are not allowed.

Of course a child at home gets more leeway, but adult children are on their own.

How much leeway? Your child still under your care who's not an adult? You'll kick them to the curb?
