No matter how much I deny the existence of God, there is one bible verse that seems to send shockwaves through my body and hang heavy over my head. I can't quote it, but it goes something like this
Deny me before people and I will deny you before my father in heaven.

To clarify: I don't believe in God. Therefore the Bible holds no religious significance to me. So what does it matter to me what it says?
