So the first taker. How can this be so? They both walked on water so if one was just a magic trick then so was the other.

No, he did not really walk on water. He was walking on a platform just
below the water in the pool. The camera had to be pointed at a certain
angle so it appeared he was walking on water. He had to walk at that
exact location or he would have sunk just like everybody else. All the
people around him were in on it and pretended to be amazed.

Jesus didn't even need a platform. He didn't even get involved. Someone else told the story.
The best you can come up with is to claim the story must be true because it was inspired.

But wait! You don't believe the New Testament is inspired.

No, not really as they were swimming in and around him and right through where he had previously stepped. The camera angle also changed every so often so I basically just refuted you're whole claim. Now I'm not saying it was real either but it would have been very convincing to people a few thousand years ago.... or not. Like I was saying to my friend in reallifeville, in this day and age everybody know Chris Angel is a phony, a master illusionist, but he doesn't claim to be the messiah either.... imagine back in that day... Everybody knew that Jesus was a phony and worse he claimed to be God and THAT my friend is why he was staked to the cross... it wasn't divine it was because he deserved it and for some reason everybody believes the words of his cult following(extreme bias) when every other text claims that he wasn't divine.
