@Suzianne saidI don't think anyone ever had in 65+ years -- but it's not as if I believe I was born Cosmo-centric, either.
And when was the last time someone called you "self-centered"?
(sorry if I have already replied to some of these posts -- it seems the thread went wild and I'm trying to find which page I was on when I took a break)

@Philokalia saidDidn't mean to draw out your personal details, but might send a PM with a question.
lol, bedtime skin care routine... I am a man. I am also not an ethnic Korean - been living here for twenty years, permanent resident, ready to be naturalized but withholding due to not wanting to forfeit my American citizenship. I also am attending an Ecumenical Patriarchate church that is really Greek Orthodox in character.
... Now, being pro-life is just the traditio ...[text shortened]... life.
I also don't really want a bitter debate about this...
What are your thoughts on this?
As for being pro-life, I think we might agree that the people of Earth could do a better job of that all around, from cradle to grave, across the globe. We have the means of production, distribution, and coordination to make it happen.
However, I also think that the personal sovereignty of women should be respected instead of them being treated as lesser-human gardens/gestation pods for the "seed" of Man.
As for the bedtime skin-care routine, perhaps it is my lot to inform you that among some young, urban East Asian males, such a routine is a thing and a nightly practice. Of course now I'm also wondering if you have ever heard of eyelid surgery or micro-thread nose adjustments. 😉

@Arkturos saidClearly her thought process not self but you already know that. I have used this term only recently here a few times seeing it used here. I must admit internally more at times like around retarded drivers like with two today. For many words I look at them as man created and the intent of the heart while using them is more so authentic for me as being bad or not but still agree on those also. My foul language is something I struggle with and have and do try to change this within myself. I think a lot of it has to do with internal happiness or lack of. Thank you for realigning me with this abbreviation, I agree and you won’t see it again. Internally saying this to myself is a little harder but will continue to pray and self correct to remove and replace it. As for you it’s difficult for me to talk with you because no matter how much I try to get along with you, you are a scorpion on the frogs back to cross the river and you always sting, maybe this is something you could work on for your self happiness and getting along with others.
Now Mike, gloating over the possibility that someone could easily be destroyed seems rather un-Christian to me.
Also, some might consider OMG (let alone Omg) to be taking the Name in vain.

@Suzianne saidIt seems Scripture is a convenient distraction for some so-called Christians, who somehow drive themselves into the ditch of being Scripture-proud.
So no thoughts on Matthew 6.
If you ever decide to give abiding in Christ a try, I strongly suspect you would look back on Scripture as just scaffolding along the way.
@mike69 saidHypocrite!
Coming from you whom I have no respect for at all or your modern beliefs, that can’t answer questions and just spews stupidity think what you want. We’re Christians with beliefs and faith that actually follows the teaching of the Bible even when it’s not easy or convenient to us, that’s the whole point, not to change it and and treat it like something that only part of has to ...[text shortened]... r a sad hate filled racist whom i have no respect for plus stupidity and ignorance really annoys me.

@Very-Rusty saidI think the problem with Suzi is that her behavior as an example of a "true" Christian alternative to "MAGA Christianity" might turn a lot of people away from Christianity (not that anyone other than the regulars ever visit this forum).
I am Roman Catholic and I don't feel attacked at all.
I believe not wanting to speak for sue that she is referring the Maga's who claim to be Christian's.

[And yeah, I get that it might seem incongruous for an apostate Roman Catholic like me to write such a thing. Well, life is full of nuances, isn't it?]
TBH, I wonder if she is playing at being Christian to poke fun at Christianity, similar to Colbert's early days when he ironically played a certain kind of "Conservative" on "The Daily Show with John Stewart."
But I think a while ago she has publicly mentioned some personal traumas as well as experiences with Angels, so maybe she has some more complicated things to work through when it comes to her faith, compared to some others.
Sure, I do often wonder what the hell is wrong with her, but that's not really my mystery to solve.
If she enjoys lashing out at other people from her prideful treasury of spiritual brambles, then who am I to deny her that pleasure?
BTW, I'm not trying to turn her into a bland "Stepford Wife Christian" -- but if she (for instance) thinks cutting sarcasm is a way to get along with other people, then maybe she and I come from different cultures.
