So resistance means squelching dissent? Very American of you. Your rights aren't above mine.

You need to learn how to make the distinction between church and state. Resist all you want. You won't silence me. You'll have to kill me to stop me.
Resistance means opposing abuse. Stop abusing us, christianity, and we are happy that you live in peace with us.

If I have to kill you to stop your abuse then count on it.

Of course you are right. And yours are not above mine. This is why the fight. What do you fight for? I think you fight for the right to be abusive and hateful and intolerant. Typical right wing conservative.

By abuse do you mean aborting babies? Ever have a hand in that?
By abuse do you mean pornography? Which is undeniably the abuse of women. Do you have a hand in that also? Sex trafficking? Illegal drug abuse? Child porn? Etc. etc. etc.

Are you gay? Is that why you take umbrage at the Biblical denunciation of the act of sodomy? Have you read the statistics related to the inordinate amount of health issues associated with that "lifestyle"? Are you unaware of the disease, murder and suicide rates in the homosexual community?

Christianity isn't being abusive. You are being warned to flee from the wrath that is sure to come.

"If I have to kill you..."

Hypocrite.

You can't be too careful these days. If you give a drink of water to someone who is thirsty, or food to someone hungry, or visit a prisoner you may be charged with doing good to your neighbor, and that may be condemned as an act of hatred.

Homosexuality is an abomination of morality, and gay marriage is a clear sign of the demise of the American culture and of human values.
Wrong answer.

Which is why California voters passed a law defining marriage as being between a man and a woman. It was a vote of the people in a liberal state. A politically appointed leftist court over rode the will of the people.
Are minorities not allowed rights?

Do you approve of society's will being over turned by anyone, including a single judge?
I guess we if true we are not that far away of yielding our wills over to someone authority
soon and very soon.
Do you think Judges are random people picked from the streets?

Nothing in the Constitution gives anyone a right to marriage.
... or disbars anyone that right.

The 14th amendment to the US constitution forbids states from "deny[ing] to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” As long as straight married couples are allowed to visit a comatose spouse in the hospital without asking for permission, file for divorce, claim tax breaks that only apply to married people, retain custody of a child automatically if the spouse dies, etc., then the states must grant these rights to gay married couples also.

Not if those rights are not spelled out in the Constitution.

Civil unions.

Civil unions.
If all the rights and privileges are the same, there's no reason to use another term. "Civil union" is a last attempt at convincing gay couples that their marriages are somehow not "real" (even though that isn't true).
