I changed 'YOUR' definition which is inadequate. YES, many cults are small in size and use this to their advantage, staying off the grid etc. BUT some cults are large in size. (Take the Moonies for example, with an estimated 3 million followers worldwide).

You are wrong to conclude that any group is disqualified from being a cult if they are not small in number. Any one can cut and paste one definition of cult and take that as a definitive description. Here's an alternative:

'A cult is described as a system or group of people who practice excessive devotion to a figure, object, or belief system. Its characteristics include having a leader that preaches an explicit belief system or ideology and who is followed by unquestioning believers.'

You're missing the point. They excommunicate as an alternative to alerting the police. This fails to safeguard future victims.

Ghost has his own belief and I have mine. We don't have to dislike each other to have a difference of opinion on things especially when it comes to Religion.

Any group of people could be called a Cult. Some say Trump has a Cult following and was sent here by Jesus. I don't believe he was sent by Jesus, but I do believe he has a cult like following as no matter what he says or does his followers go along with it. I guess one could consider that a Cult?

You don't think they have a moral duty to alert members of their congregation to the police if they are abusing children? They should just kick them out and hope somebody else alerts them?
