I've noticed a tiresome trait on this forum. A group of people, a race, a community who make up their mind and no amount of proof, pleas or pledges will get them to think on the matter any differently.
David C (most likely Californian or French) keeps insisting that I'm the nom de plume of some character called ivanhoe. Personally, I found his relentless and unsubstantiated dismissing statements obscenely dull and futile (but obviously not in his perspective). No amount of insisting will change his mind. Any arguments and points I throw out will be dismissed with contempt from Mr C (as I'm sure this one will be) as he thinks I have no credibility.
Let me generalise (as dangerous as calling the cavalry upon myself). I've noticed many posts instantly dismissed and/or shredded as having no proof or substance (as I'm sure this one will be) because the person doesn't agree with your perspective. I'm very guilty of this, but feel no guilt...
I'm not calling for a truce, because we're mostly all closed-minded bigots, so let's accept this and MOVE ON!!!
