Originally posted by EcstremeVenomWhile we run into both in the Bible, you'll find that the writers don't get into descriptive appearances. A theophony occurs in a variety of forms and the intent is symbolic as much as anything else so that's why you find Satan taking the form of a serpent or an angel of God appearing as a burning bush. By and large our western ideas of angels and devils stems from the surrounding apocryphal angelogy and demonology writings and accounts.
the appearence of an angel or devil or both plz, if you happen to know. is there a description in the bible? if so id like to know because i want to draw one.
Originally posted by EcstremeVenomThere are lots of places in the Bible where a description is given of angels. I think it's a good idea to draw one. But your going to have to do your homework. If you really want to draw an angel, then find in the Bible where the descriptions are given. With a computer it should be easy.

Here's a good place to start (EDIT - I'm not seeing descriptions of angels in these links, maybe look elsewhere).

It's a Mormon list so they refer to their own "latter day revelations" but if you want ignore those.
Muslims, I understand, believe angels were made from fire whereas man was made from clay, so that might give you an idea of how they differ from people.
From Ezekiel's description of them (1;10; 41:18, 19), [cherubim] appear to have been compound figures, unlike any real object in nature; artificial images possessing the features and properties of several animals.

Seraphim are mentioned in Isa. 6:2,3,6,7. This word means fiery ones, in allusion, as is supposed, to their burning love. They are represented as "standing" above the King as he sat upon his throne, ready at once to minister unto him. Their form appears to have been human, with the addition of wings.

They are spirits (Hebrews 1:14), like the soul of man, but without a physical body.
Such expressions as "like the angels" (Luke 20:36), and the fact that whenever angels appeared to man it was always in a human form (Gen. 18:2; 19:1, 10; Luke 24:4; Acts 1:10), and the titles that are applied to them ("sons of God," Job 1:6; 38:7; Dan. 3:25; compare 28) and to men (Luke 3:38), all seem to indicate some resemblance between them and the human race.

I use e-Sword, it is a free download of the Bible with other good features like the study notes, topic notes(these are where you put your own thoughts), the Strongs dictionary, other versons of the Bible, ect. Here is a link to their download page:
