See, the answer to Question #1 is easier than one might think. 😛
The trouble with sites like the one you have linked is not the questions are not valid ones to ask - of course they are valid - but rather, the emotional need to have such large and difficult questions answered definitively, and unwaveringly, right away.
Some of them simply can't be, and anyone who tells you they have a definitive answer is yanking your chain.
@sonship saidEverybody dies, sonship. We all die. Max Planck died. Richard Dawkins will die. Witness Lee died of prostate cancer. Jesus died because he was executed by the Romans. You will die. I will die.
A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die." - Max Planck

@bigdoggproblem saidI don't think you put a lot of time thinking about what would be required if it did start on earth without a designer. Easy is not the word I'd use, especially since no one knows how it was done, we are not even remotely in the ballpark there and have someone suggest it would have been easy just display ignorance.

@kellyjay saidTranslation of what you said to BigDoggProblem: you think he is ignorant compared to you, and you reckon that all the confirmation-bias-fortified thinking you've done about your religion creates some intellectual or "knowledge"-related onus on him.

@kellyjay saidI would have thought the "😛" made it clear I was being facetious.

Edit: I could also claim you haven't put much thought (or any, really) into how a designer could have created the universe.
@sonship saidSure, because humans have egos and hate to admit that they are wrong."A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die." - Max Planck
@bigdoggproblem saidMy apologies missed that.
