Someone has contacted aliens?

Science would be sending signals and listening for signals. Ficticious liberal beliefs would be there must be aliens who will reply.

"Science" isn't sending signals, our civilization has been doing that for 100 years now so anyone with our technology could hear us anywhere in the galaxy. There would be no way to know in which direction to send signals anyway since first you need to detect them. Our signal wavefront is a sphere about 200 light years across going into the galaxy at the speed of light so that part is already covered. But if some alien race out there say is 200 light years away it will take another 100 years just for our signals to reach them but then another 200 years before we can receive a Howdy from them and it only gets worse the further away they are. So in that case we hear nothing till after the year 2300, So its not exactly hold your breath time.

OK. Why would an intelligent race build a universe that is subject to a never ending series of chaotic events that could lead inexorably to destruction or worse?
They would not.

So you are saying that it can't be disproved, at least within our lifetime.

What do you call that thing that is believed with actual evidence and can't be proved nor disproved?

Ask Tesla 😀

I guess I'm trying to say that a universe that was somehow held in balance would be a preferable place to live than one that extended without boundaries.

Not sure what you're eluding to with gay/straight? But masculine/feminine balance could be interpreted as creative/logical --> mental/physical
Expect many thumbs down around here for that kind of banter.

BTW people, my internet is toast. Library for now

I will be back ...
