I am not referring to anything large changes, or 'nasty' insofar as the genome is concerned.

We have talked about once something wasn’t passed down it was lost,
changing the future forever for that species

No, you persist in misunderstanding what is going on. Generation A, in a sexual species such as ourselves, continually is mixing the genes to provide sets of 'new' genes (generation B). What is simply being weeded out each generation are those that do not reproduce successfully.

    you seem to think that
these types of things could lead to more effective and efficient
    generations,

I use the word lazy, in efficiency terms, the genes simply have to outperform the next set to be better at survival; this favours the efficient....

to me it could be like
the creation of a subspecies losing the ability to mate with whatever
group it used to belong to before it lost something and made it a
little unique; that does not mean it is more effective or efficient over
all, it may fill a niche better.

Yes, it is the creation of a subspecies! you are getting there!
And if it fills a niche better it is more efficient/effective than those others it used to be a species with. In time, it will not be able to interbreed and become a 'new' species. Good progress.

I have no idea why you are bringing up
    Christianity into this

The concept of evolution seems to be a difficult one for some Christians, they seem to find it hard to accept that evolution happens. I happen to feel that there is no conflict; and that much of the resistance is based in the roots of the belief, eg that 'man' is different from 'animals', that man has dominion over animals etc etc
therefore man cannot possibly be made from the same genetic material.

but you don’t see any grand changes in form
occur in the here and now you assume they do over time.

Now you are going just too fast for yourself here. Don't worry about large changes. Think about small changes, eg Pesticide resistant weeds, hospital 'bugs' resistant to disinfectants. Take your time. About five years or so perhaps.

We may not agree, but at least thats an honest and fair answer, which I can respect.
