It is simply a waste of my time. Therefore, Judism is not for me. I will stick to Christianity where I believe there is one right way, even though I may not understand that right way.
Since Jewish interpretation has been mentioned, and since I haven’t worked with this stuff for some time (and my Hebrew is even rustier than it was), even though non-dualistic Judaism was my personal way for some years, after I discovered about the age of 50 that I had a long-kept-hidden Jewish heritage (and I am contemplating revisiting it)—
Judaism, bei ...[text shortened]... religion of dualistic theism.
Other than those points, I am not intending to defend anything.

It's about time you admitted it is all bullox.

Just because a religion permits the killing of animals for food and killing in self-defense and in war does not automatically mean it must be a false religion. I would say a religion that requires one to go hungry rather than to eat meat is a false religion. A religion that prohibits killing in self-defense and requires its adherents to live in slavery and poverty rather than fight for life, liberty, and justice is a false religion.

So you can justify cruelty of animals you have mentioned many things that have nothing to do with the POST.
You have mentioned slavery and food and self defence and hunger etc.....
These things have nothing to do with the fact that the slaughter of animals in the name of religion is a grave sin.
You kill animals because the animal killers religion has ...[text shortened]... o womanise and intoxicate and eat rotting flesh.
This absurdity of false religion is obvious.
Originally posted by wolfgang59Don't human do all those things too? The main difference is that the Holy Bible says God has granted to man certain animals that may be eaten for food. Wheras rape and murder is condemned. I don't recall any reference to sniffing our neighbours behinds. I guess that is something that is left to civil authoritiesa.
You used animals as an example to justify a
human behaviour (eating meat). Using your
own logic we can also make the same case
for rape, murder and sniffing our neighbours behinds.
