Faith equals lawlessness?

Matthew 5

The verses I cited from John 8 and Matthew 5 both point to the same thing: One must become righteous, i.e., no longer commit sin, in order to have eternal life / enter the kingdom.

Jesus said to believe on Him for eternal life and that He is from above and proceeded forth from the Father, that He was with the Father before the world began.

Why do you ignore His command to believe on Him? Why do you not believe what He said of Himself?

If faith is nothing as you say it is do you mean to say it is nothing if you don't please God? (Since it is impossible to please God without faith?)
