I googled David Gossett to try to figure out WTF has happened to his golf game over the last three years. I happened on a charming little article that started out detailing his victory at the 2001 John Deere Classic, but it all of a sudden segued (or tried to) into a very annoying pitch for Jesus. Some of the player testimonies aren't too sappy, though.
For those Christians who enjoy hitting the links, this site will help you golf your ball more like Jesus.
Now Gossett really needs to figure out why God won't allow him to make a cut anymore.

golf game?
Originally posted by NemesioWell, it seems clear that many of the players featured on that page do think their walk with Christ has greatly impacted their golf game. For some, Jesus is the power that guides their swing plane; for others, the life lessons they have learned through the Bible have allowed them to play the game with more dignity; for others, they are convinced that Jesus has called them to be golfers who can impact and reach out to many through the medium of their golfing talent. Most of them say that the reassurance of their faith allows them to play the game with more confidence. Some of it is plausible since belief (whether justified or not) can greatly affect mental outlook; and since golf is largely a game played between the ears.

Now, for Gossett, it's difficult to make a case because he has been sucking a$$ ever since he gave himself over to Jesus. That's not quite true, since he had a good run there in the early 2000s, but since about 2003, he's been a hack.

Why couldn't it just be your outlook on life changing the way you remember minor setbacks (i.e. look big when things are bad, are forgotten when things are going well)?
of course, when i do good things good things happen when i do bad things bad things happen must be god

How disillusioned I am!
Originally posted by RBHILLSuper, sounds like a lot of fun. The course where I've been a member for a while has a mid-summer tournament sponsored by the local strip club. The dancers will be your caddy/cart driver...some in bikinis, some out of them. At the end of the day, if you've played your cards right, you too can testify...but in a different, more-direct-to-god fashion.
