In 2015, the co-pilot of an airliner purposely crashed the plane he was flying, after locking the captain out of the cockpit. He committed suicide, along with mass murder, killing 149 other people.

Now......was this God's plan for the 149 people on board?

We can surely assume that at least one passenger on board prayed to God for a safe flight.

Does the free will of the co-pilot dominate over a possible alternative plan for the other 149 people on board?

Predestination would presume that God knew what was going to happen, and thus God's plan for the unknowing passengers is that they would die crashing into a mountain.

-Removed-
This thread will be about whether a person praying to God for something can be 'trumped' by someone else's free will.

As well as a possible plan from God for someone's life, but it is thwarted by another's free will.

Do you believe there is a "God" who has a "plan" and who "knows what is going to happen"?

Do you believe a person praying to their God figure for something can affect reality?

Yes, as you once did

If you believe that it was your God figure's plan for those people to die in that way, then why are you querying it?

I don't believe it. Why do you believe it?

I may be a bit confused at your questions.

I am NOT certain where man's free will may interfere with a 'possible' plan predestined by God.

Hence the question for debate.

If you find it incomprehensible or nonsensical, why do you believe it?

The gospel preached by Jesus while He walked the Earth is about the God of Truth. It is about man serving God.

The gospel in which many Christians believe is about the God of Gimme. It is about God serving man.

The "paradoxes" which you keep uncovering are a result of the latter.

Hint: This latest "paradox" that you've uncovered is rooted in entreating the God of Gimme.

God of gimme?

Wanting to take a plane flight and arrive at your destination without being murdered by the co-pilot.

Please explain.
