For someone who in so many posts talks about the need to follow the commandments of God that sounds ironic.
@sonship saidYou fail to understand. Everything is playing out as planned. God foreknew that Satan would infiltrate the minds of some. God can wait until man has matured to the point where he voluntarily keeps the commandments. This state of perfection was foretold by the prophets. Perfection is obedience to the wishes of God. As the bible says, everyihing has a time and a season and God knows when all these things will happen.

@secondson saidthe devil stands strong against god
There are no obstacles that can be formed that can withstand God.
There's just no such thing. The idea is anti-biblical. There is no evidence anywhere that an obstacle exists that can stand against God.
Some of you need to rephrase your argument.
@lemondrop saidThis is temporary.
the devil stands strong against god
Temporary for God is not as short a time for us.
There comes a point where this slanderer and adversary will realize that he has only a little while longer to work. So he too knows that his career is temporary. His rage against God and man is intensified when he realizes that he has "only a short time" left to fight.
" . . . Woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has come down to you and has great rage, knowing that he has only a short time." (Revelation 12:12)
You fail to understand.
There is a lot that I do not understand.
Contrary to what "the community" may decree, I never said there was nothing left that I don't understand.
Everything is playing out as planned.
For certain, transcending over all time, God knows everything about everything.
God foreknew that Satan would infiltrate the minds of some.
I think so.
God can wait until man has matured to the point where he voluntarily keeps the commandments.
It is not just the minds of fallen man that has been influenced. Something has poisoned his being that he cannot of his own power keep all the commandments of God.
Why don't you re-read Romans chapter 7.
The other chapters in Romans you really should pay more attention to also.
Indications that something was standing in opposition to God, I would say, is evidenced in verse 2 of Genesis 1.
First Check KJV.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (v1)
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. " (v2)
Young's Literal Translation has it:
1 In the beginning of God's preparing the heavens and the earth --
2 the earth hath existed waste and void, and darkness [is] on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God fluttering on the face of the waters,
I favor the rendering of the Recovery Version.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (v1)
But the earth became waste and emptiness, and darkness was on the surface of the deep and the Spirit of God was brooding upon the surface of the deep.(v2)
And God said, Let there be light; and there was light. " (v3)
Rotherham's Emphasized Bible in its first edition had similarly -
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, (v1)
Now the earth had become waste and wild, and darkness was on the face of the roaring deep, - but the Spirit of God was brooding on the face of the waters,
God said - Light be, And light was. "
A previous violent overthrow in judgment in the far ancient past took place before God restored and further created especially human kind.
@divegeester
What do you mean by omnipotent?
Do you mean can God make a married bachelor showing "omnipotence"?
Do you mean can God make a square circle showing "omnipotence"?
The Bible says "God who cannot lie" (Titus 1:2). So I know He cannot lie if "omnipotence" means to you He can do anything.
So what do you mean by omnipotence?
@divegeester
God is limited.
A logical contradiction like "a married bachelor" God cannot create.
God is limited about He CANNOT lie.
So if that means He is not all powerful in your book, that's fine with me.
But if I am wrong and God is not limited and can create a married bachelor, then I guess I was wrong. It is not a major problem to me.
He is three-one which blows the human mind. So who knows? Maybe God can make a logical contradiction like a married bachelor.
