I am so glad that the example of a disciple of Jesus is seen in Peter. He was unquestionably the kind of leader of the twelve disciples of Jesus.
At least he was the boldest, most opinionated, most self assured, most self confident. "They all may turn their backs, But NOT ME boy!"
Jesus chose Peter .
Jesus chose arguably a strongly self assured, self appreciating guy.
He is blowing it throughout the gospels and afterwards.
Even arguing his own opinion with the Son of God.
The point of Jesus choosing Peter is that if Jesus could transform him, he can transform any of us like him. That is a major point of Jesus choosing as the arguable leading follower of Himself - Peter.
That is good news for any charged with being narcissists or inordinate self love.
Eventually Jesus broke him wide open and said in esence - "When get up now, if you love Me, take care and feed my sheep, my other followers, my lambs."
Being guilty of narcisism is not the end of a transformed life from the love and salvation of the Savior Jesus Christ.
@sonship saidI guess there’s hope for you, and therefore this forum, yet.

@divegeester
There is hope for everyone who comes to the Savior.
Don't make an idol out of this Forum.
Jesus didn't lay down His life to save your Forum.
The only ones for whom all hope seems to be lost if for those commit something called blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Neither in this present age is there forgivness nor in the age to come.
"Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come." (Matt. 12:31,32)
This is maybe, imo presently, is the sin of those whose names will not found in the book of life.
"And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire." (Rev. 20:15)
Though I do not know with great certainty that that is how I should interpret the unforgivable sin. But it seems that this is a case of never being forgiven, with our without discipline, education, correction. It seems just plain eternally unredeemably guilty even though entering into the state of physical death.
Maybe such a being falls into a state of perpetual continuation of the blaspheming without end. I don't want to find out. Do you?
@sonship saidDo you think people can blaspheme beings or entities they don't believe exist?

@FMF
Apparent;y it will happen.
How do you know "do not believe exists" continues for them forever?
@FMF
Doesn't matter.
Your dubious opinion of it makes no difference.
Whatever.
There is good news for narcissists. And we can read and study about it in the words of the Bible. No need to wait for the approval of the atheist to the "behavior" of those whose message he cannot stand.
Self righteous behavior such as you ooze out measuring everyone except yourself with your directionless compass puts you in no position to conduct your own little personal last judgment.
@sonship saidAn issue still dangling there is about your narcissism: you have been invited to reflect in public on the trade-off between propagating "essential" core beliefs and arguably narcissism-driven "inessential" fringe beliefs and the implications for credibility and efficacy. The question is whether your narcissism is "good news" for your ministry.
