I am unbelievably evil. I need a Savior. Jesus saw to my need even before I was born.
The only difference between me and FMF is ... the MERCY of God. Somehow, God gave me the ability to believe in the Savior.
Don't ask me how. It will always be a mystery why I have the ability to believe in the death and resurrection of the Son of God for my salvation.
I think FMF thinks he can press Christians to boast so he can say - " I can't measure your spiritual stuff with any scientific instruments. Can't see it with a microscope. I can't weigh it. I can't measure its length. I can't study it in a lab. So, its just not real."
NO apologies FMF for believing and saying I have experienced and WILL MORE experience rivers of living water flowing out of my innermost being.
Put your microscope and slide rule away. And stop goading me. The Christian life is mostly not how one acts but how one reacts.
If you want to announce that you have observed no "living water" flowing out of me, that's OK !! If you say " I haven't noticed any Holy Spirit " ... like, I should be surprised ?
The Devil tempted Jesus.
"Turn stones into bread if you're the Son of God."
"Jump off of the temple and let the angels catch you, if you're the Son of God."
The nature of FMF's challenges in this particular regard smell the same to me - evil.
Ie. "If you're born of God to be a son of God, pinpoint the scientific percentage you are along the way so we can measure your progress like we would measure say, blood pressure."
Its not cute. Its not clever.
I called it unbelievably evil of him to goad the Christian to brag about this like boasting of one's physical age or vision measurements or cholesterol level.
@sonship saidThis is a straw man. "Scientific instruments"? If there is no evidence in your behaviour and character as displayed on this forum of you "becoming like Jesus" or becoming "a mass produced duplicate of Christ" or that "Jesus is flowing through" you, just say so.

@sonship saidYou make specific claims about yourself. Just asking for some evidence that they're true, that's all.

@sonship saidIf "becoming like Jesus" has no discernable effect on you that other people can see, so be it. Just say so.
If you want to announce that you have observed no "living water" flowing out of me, that's OK !! If you say " I haven't noticed any Holy Spirit " ... like, I should be surprised ?
I am not asking you to brag or boast.
@sonship said"Unbelievably evil"?
I called it unbelievably evil of him to goad the Christian to brag about this like boasting of one's physical age or vision measurements or cholesterol level.
I haven't mentioned "physical age". I haven't mentioned "vision measurements". I haven't mentioned "cholesterol levels".
I have simply asked you to substantiate assertions you make about yourself.
That you'd find such a thing - on a debate and discussion forum - unpleasant, awkward, pugnacious, rude or inconvenient - I'd get that.
But "evil"?
Indeed, "unbelievably evil"?
Aren't you concerned that the way you use the word "evil" rinses it of all useful meaning?
@sonship saidDon't worry about "scientific percentages".

Has there been ANY progress at all?
Has there been ANY progress at all in the last decade?
If 'yes', what is the outwardly observable evidence of it?
