Sure, that's only half a billion years, so according to him, you should be there before "immediately".

One million = one thousand thousand = 1000 x 1000
One billion = one thousand thousand thousand = 1000 x 1000 x 1000

That's a lot of years, enough for evolution. Not exactly fast.

The only reason we know life existed 4 billion years ago is because those rocks still exist.
