If you're sure there is no "hereafter" you're only worry should be a long, drawn-out, painful death.
If nothing comes next, none of this means anything anyway.
I'd say buy a gun or some strong downers in order to be prepared for what comes next because ... you're gonna die.
If it turns into 2 year of struggle for each breath with no hope of improvement, you may want to go plan B .. unless you're afraid to die.

Here's the thing .. you're not all that important to the world. Only those in your close circle of family and friends will even notice your passing.

Most people I come across in life are more afraid to live than they are to die. Most people in Western culture have it made .. cradle to grave .. and become quite comfortable in some 40 hr job they can handle easily. Few people yearn to excell, most are happy to simply "go along to get along"
Most people are like sheep waiting for the knife.

You're probably afraid of dying because you know that you've never really lived.

I don't agree with the first half of what you said, but the second--Nicely said.

You sound like an ad for some motivational speaker - 'you're afraid to live!'
What a croc.
Because the lives of many seem mundane and boring to you doesn't make them any less important to the people that live them.

Didn't mean to imply that a boring, easy life-style would make people any less important to their loved ones.

What I meant to get across was that many (most?) people are underachievers in life and never come close to their full potential.

This applies mostly to Western cultures IMO where it's much easier to just get by with minimal effort required.

I know in the USA a lot of people get locked into simple labor jobs at an early age and never try to move up.

What i'm sayin' is .. most people sell themselves short IMO
