If you are seeing a god or gods then I think it is a perfectly understandable and commonplace upshot of your human nature and of the human condition generally.

Does that apply to the one that doesn't want to see God?

Okay, you don't see God. But you see man in the image of God.

No? You don't even see that??

Okay, you see man and NOTHING ELSE in existence on the planet like man. Closer?

I didn't say chimps, ants, whales, and dolphins are not unique. I did say there is nothing else in the universe or on earth like a human.

You might ask "Why is that?"
SETI can't find anything else out there like humans.

From that realization, if you have no special beef to another possibility, you might one day open up to Genesis 1:26,27 .

Man - uniquely created in some way in the image of God and according to the likeness of God.

"Man - uniquely created in some way in the image of God and according to the likeness of God."

That works as well the other way around.

Not really. God is a Spirit and does not share the character of man post man’s fall.

Man did not fall. He was pushed.

If you mean the line from the song, The Boxer then replace "sees" with "hears".

Yes, I was paraphrasing Paul Simon's words, transferred to the context of the OP-title about seeing gods.

If God does not share the character of post-Fall man, there is an explanatory gap that obviously needs filling. Then it keeps getting more and more complicated and contentious and soon enough we have internet chats going at it, the theist/theist disagreements as deep as the theist/atheist disagreements. What’s a simple minded person to do?

Um, just a word of caution: if you start to hear gods talking to you, not just seeing them, get yourself to a competent psychiatrist PDQ.
