Duchess demonstrates her poor reading comprehension and false assumptions. (As well as her over-dependency on Wikipedia).

I did not claim one hadith 'supersedes' (her word) the Quran but that it 'negated' (my word) its absence from the Quran, bearing in mind the gravitas Muhammad's words have in Islam. Does Duchess deny the significance of the prophet in Islam? Surely not?!

And in regards to not being an Islamic scholar, I've certainly studied Islam to a higher level than yourself. (Unless you are going to claim now that you have also studied it to degree level?)

I do not believe you have ever had a conversation with a Jewish man about circumcision. Please layout the circumstances as to how that came up in a conversation. (A conversation you have apparently had multiple times to substantiate your assertion that you know many Jewish men, and never met one who objected to his son being circumcised).

Nonsense. We are discussing the abhorrence of child genital mutilation, whether that be FGM or circumcision. You've highlighted yourself that a high percentage of American males have been circumcised. Are you claiming this high percentage are also followers of Islam?

Would you feel the same if someone of the Jewish faith said the same about FGM? (Perhaps you are unaware that FGM is also practiced among some adherents of the Muslim, Christian, and Jewish faiths? )
