When the Only begotten Son became a man He committed Himself FOREVER to humanity.
No one can ever share Christ's status as the only begotten Son of God.
But as the Firstborn Son He is leading many sons into the glorious expression of God mingled with humanity.
Christ became involved with man for eternity. As
"the Son of Man" He was the perfect representation of our human race.
Once Jesus became
"Son of Man" He committed Himself to the human race forever.
The Son of Man is mentioned in
(Matt.12:8; Mark 10:46; Luke 9:22; John 3:13; Acts 7:56; Rev. 14:14)
Jesus died a man.
Jesus rose as a man.
Jesus ascended as a man.
He is exalted on His throne as a man.
Jesus will reign forever as a man. Never abandoning His humanity He and the humans who partake of His salvation will both reign forever.
How could the son reign forever yet the Son not ?
" ... for the Lord God will shine upon them; and they will reign forever and ever." (Rev. 22:5b)
And the One receiving a kingdom receives it FOREVER, Who is the
"Son of Man" in
Daniel 7:13,14) .
"I watched in the night visions, And there with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming; And He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. " (Dan, 7:13)
This is the resurrected and ascended Son of Man arriving in heaven at His inauguration in heaven. He ascended in the cloud to the third heaven to be enthroned, exalted.
" And to Him [the Son of Man] was given dominion, glory, and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages might serve Him,
His dominion is an eternal dominion, which will not pass away;
And His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed." (Dan. 7:14)
Forever - the reigning resurrected and glorified
"Son of Man".
Incarnation - Temporary or Eternal?
