Are you a member of the "Body of Christ"?

Do you belong to, and are you a regular attendee of a local church?

Then you don't know what it means.

Pesty enough for you? 😉

Boredom is a sign of a weak mind.

I would say I'm an independent in the sense I don't belong to any denomination either. I've been to AOG (Pentecostal) and Nazarene (Wesleyan) but I would not say I belong to either. The Church is universal I guess finding a good group of believer is the way to go.

I am dependant on God! And not afraid to admit it.

And so should you. We are all dependant on God for the very air we breath. Although most deny it.

But the dependency that is most important is our dependence on God's Christ for our very lives. Without Christ one cannot know God. Once an individual places their full trust in what God has done through Christ for us, the whole body is flooded with the light of truth. Until then one can never be sure.

I think a question that needs to be asked is why did Christ say he would build a church? In addition, what is this "church" he was talking about? Did Christ see Christians as "independent"? If not, then why do we seek to be as such if we are following him? If so, then what is the church he was referring to?

What made you decide to go that direction?

Jesus was referring to the Kingdom church, not the Body of Christ, which is a separate and distinct entity altogether.
