I’m starting a thread on this so that it doesn’t get obfuscated in a current other thread.

Some Christians claim that:
- Burning billions of people alive - is morally acceptable.

- abortion - is morally unacceptable.

- executing people for certain specific heinous proven crimes ????

Looks like KellyJay is going to avoid this thread AND the post where I questioned him on it in the other thread.

Interesting.

Nobody is tormented for eternity.
The bible is silent or vague on the matter of abortion so it is a nonissue
Executions are necessary to rid society of evil people, and is recommended by God.

More of your usual biblically ignorant blurting.

If you are tried and convicted of murder God commands that you be executed.

Excellent question for the anti-choice pro-lifers. They stumble on this one every time.
As someone who attempts to follow the teachings of Jesus, I believe that life in prison, is the harshest sentence that one should receive.

In the Old Covenant, not the New. Good point tho.

Regardless of what you believe your God figure "commands", I do not give my consent to the state to execute me. Having said that, I am sure the state here will go ahead and execute me if they see fit to do so, and those that arrange for it to happen will be quite convinced that they do so with their God figure's blessing.

Whzt is to be done with convicted murderers in the New Covenant According to Christ they will have their place in the lake of fire. Do you disagree with that ?

Executions are necessary to rid society of evil people, Where do we get in line?
and is recommended by God.
Recommended? Where did Jesus recommend killing anyone?
In the Old Covenant God ordered it. I don't think that means it is recommended by Jesus in our New Covenant with Him.

Yes, you will notice that Kellyjay has disappeared.

Problably living his best life somewhere or visiting the sick in hospital. Hey maybe he’s out in his neighbourhood trying to convince them that Jesus will burn them all in hell for eternity unless they love him.

Yes, I do agree with you. Unless they repent and come to Jesus, or God as they know Him, and receive His forgiveness; and, I also believe that God will forgive many others whom He chooses.
Remember: The Apostle Paul committed murder. Moses committed murder. Kind David committed a cold-blooded first-degree murder; and a few other Bible greats. It's clear by scripture that none of them are burning in hell.

So your statement that convicted murderers are not executed under the New Covenant, is false.
